Hello everyone! Happy Memorial Day/Pentecost/Summer! Things were pretty crazy at my house the last few weeks because Sunday we hosted a family reunion/70th birthday party for my grandfather, and about 100 people came! It was fun meeting a lot of extended family and seeing my grandparents enjoying reconnecting with everyone. My grandfather has been working on family history research, which is a cute old man project, but also neat for the rest of us, and I was able to put faces to names at the party. I thought I'd share a thought from my pastor's sermon on Sunday: We live in a tale of two cities, one earthly and one spiritual. Days like Memorial Day and Pentecost remind us just how close that spiritual city is. The Holy Spirit reminds us that God is not isolated and remote but a real presence among us!
